Peter Stokkebye Cigarette Tobacco
Story
The journey of Peter Stokkebye Cigarette Tobaccos didn't begin in 1931 when Peter was born in Odense, Denmark—in reality, it traces back two generations further. It all started in 1882 when Peter's grandfather, Erik Peter Stokkebye, opened the family's first tobacconist shop.
Learning the art of tobacco from both his father and grandfather, Peter went on to spend decades perfecting the tobacconist’s craft. During the 1950s, he honed his skills at the Universal Leaf Company, immersing himself in the nuances of tobacco in the fields of Kentucky, the Carolinas, and Tennessee. Then, in the 1960s, he deepened his understanding of the manufacturing process as the production manager at the L'Orange cigarette factory in Geneva, Switzerland.
Peter went on to start his own tobacco factory in the 1970s, setting his sights on revolutionizing tobacco in America. Peter noticed customer tendencies were shifting away from chain-smoking and becoming connoisseurial, savoring each experience. As a third-generation tobacconist, Peter was uniquely positioned to oblige these patrons.
